It’s been three years in the making, but finally my GF friend and I had a lunch date at Restaurant 317 in Parramatta. And it completely lived up to our overblown expectations.
We shared a seafood platter and GF garlic bread, followed by BBQ chicken and Mediterranean gluten free pizza.
The food was glorious, delicious, and tasted quite ‘normal’. My friend’s boyfriend came along as a third wheel and mentioned that the garlic bread was better than most and “were we sure it was actually gluten free because it tastes so good?”. If a non-gluten free person thinks the bread is ‘normal’ you know you’re onto a winner (and if you’re like me, you then track down the waiter and politely interrogate them until they tell you where the bread is from).
Our gluten free date was a huge success, and next time we’re keeping room for dessert too!
